Seriously??? This is not the place to come for free, personalized, one-on-one email tech support. We are NOT going to write up step by step guides for you and email it to you, to save you from the trouble of coming here. If you need that 'step-by-step' guide, I'd suggest you actually PAY FOR Oracle Linux, and call their support. They'll be there for you 24/7. But shouting at volunteers in all caps to write you up a guide and send it to you isn't going to get you much, if anything. And why Oracle Linux 6, when 7 is out, and 8 isn't too far behind??

That said, you seem to be leaving out a good part of what your system actually told you; I doubt the messages that came from OEL are missing words. What was the ENTIRE set of messages??? What happened when you typed in "sudo yum install hplip"??

Quite certain Oracle Linux requires purchase and support. Agree completely with TB0ne - make a support call OP.

OEL is much like Red Hat Enterprise...free to use, but zero support/patches/updates without it. But since you have to register on Oracle's site to even get a download, that means the OP already has a customer ID.

Regardless, they have not given the full set of messages, told us what they're doing, etc., but literally just demanded that we write up a 'step-by-step' guide for them and email it out to them. If they want that kind of support, they need to pay Oracle for it. But just typing the yum command should get ALL the dependencies, providing the repos aren't fiddled with.
