reinstalling hp laser jet printer 1320 on debian

Hello,
I have had problem with lprng printer server for 3 days. I couldn't figure out what was wrong with it. Therefore, I decided to reinstall it. I am running a debian server with kernel 2.6.10.

I have never installed any driver on my linux boxed, because they were all installed automatically.

I would be glad if you let me know how I can uninstall previous driver and install a newer one.
