How to install sound drivers on ASUS M2N-MX?

Hi! Maybe sounds silly but I couldn't find on the web how to install my motherboard sound driver on Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic. I can't use my microphone and Linux can't identify my soundMAX sound card, but I have sound. Can someone guide me to install the drivers.

You have sound => drivers in systems already.

I did this by:
sudo killall pulseaudio
sudo alsa force-reload

Yo can execute "sudo apt-get remove pulseaudio gstreamer0.10-pulseaudio" to get rid of pulseaudio forever.
