Cannot play sound in Sabayon 3.26 on ASUS M2N-MX board

I hav installed Sabayon Linux 3.26 DVD on a machine with AMD64 X2 3800+ Socket AM2,board is ASUS M2N-MX.Everything is brilliant apart from sound.It plays in only one channel and if I try adjusting the mixer(Kmix) it blanks out altogethr.It comes back on restart but only in one channel as previosly.I hav 4 zipped files on my MB Cd but dont know what to do with them.Please help a Newbie I really want to use LINUX/OSS.URGENT !

I hav my own solution

add the folloeing line to /etc/modules.d/alsa

options snd-hda-intel model=3stack

Then in the terminal run modules-update

follow up with the commands "alsaconf" then "alsamixer".It works after this.
