well i was trying to install fc4 and had to quit in between because of a corrupt spanish support package for kde on cd 4. well i dont want any other language support other than english it's just that i wanted all softwares to be installed so i chose the everything option which led to installation of of spanish support(which was some thing un wanted)and the fc installer is not having a option to skip/ignore it so i was forced to quit. quitting in between led to failure of post install configuration and hence boot loader was not installed and i dont know how to do it exactly. i tried upgrading the system but it did not help me because me as kernel is alredy installed therefore i need to do it manually. may be my installatoin may be worth being used. hope full this should work out.


what i need to know is how to install grub using fc 4 installation cd .the cd has rescue mode in which i copme to a shell and from there i can enter grub command line

i would also like to know how to install all th soft ware in fc4 excuding language support for any language other than english

Type grub-install device-name to load grub.

grub-install /dev/device

To load software use rpm command or yum command.

yum install software
rpm -ivh software.rpm
