How to increasing downloading speed in ubuntu 9.10


m using broadband of connect of 300mbs for which maily downloding speed varies from 20 to 30 kb/s in window but in linux it is giving only 5 kb/s maximum

plz tell me how to increasing downlaoding speed

It is normally up to your connection.

But check that windows says 30kbps and linux says 5kBps. These two figures would be consistent. These still seem slow - even dialup is 56kbps. Test the speeds with an online checker. Take care with units.

Aside: 300mbs expands to 300 milli-bits per second
