hi all,
i want to increase /root memory space,for that how to include a new partition without creating a mount point and modifying fstab,just it
should look as free space and not as in a folder(mount point as folder) in /root.

If you use LVM, you can add a disk to the volume. Fedora Core uses it by default, and you can use the LVM gui manager to do it. Please include your distro in your profile. It will help solicit more relevant advice.
The two partitions which tend to be the largest are /home and /usr/. If they are subdirectories rather than mounted partitions, moving the contents of either to your new drive and then mounting it under /home or /usr will also free up the space in your root partition.
