How to get that standby option like the one in XP


Hi!

I was wondering is there a way to get linux to standby rather than shutdown/reboot.

I don't have use for this on my computer, so I haven't tried it out, but there is a set of utillities called: acpid
which uses the ACPI instructions to do stuff like that...
