I was asked by gaim to make a keyring and i gave a pass for it as i thought i would be able to disable it later on.
yet after lots of googling i havn't found anything yet and i'm sick of the idea of having to suply a password to open gaim every time i open it [and for the other apps too].
I tried to delete /home/me/.gnome2/keyring/*
that didn't solve it
i tried to remove the package through yast [i got opensuse 10.1]
yet lots of packages depend on it.
It's so stupid to be forced to use a password manager when you realy don't need one.
If anyone knows a workaround please say so.
why did you need to use a password to run gaim. Gnome keyring is usually configured so that you don't have to keep typing the root password over and over again in a single session... but then it usually asks if you want to use the feature.... I remember (at least in debian) that there was a setting in the admin menu to turn it off.
