Question How to Create/Make Own Codec for cortex-a9 processor in c?


Hi this is srikanthpilli, sorry about my english. Can anybody help me
1.how to create my own video/audio codec players by using linux c language?
2. How to play/pause the video file through Linuc c language?
3. how to create my own player by using Linux C?

so tell me my idea is correct way or not? is this possible? if it's not possible give me the alternative mechanism.

so please give a sample Linux c code for my requirements.

Yes, it is possible to use C to create code that will interpret a custom-designed audio/video codec. Yes, you can write a video player in C.

No. What you are asking for is a tremendous amount of work. Nobody at this forum will write a video player for you. Nor will anyone write a codec interpreter for you.

If you want to look at the amount of code required for these tasks, go to the Sourceforge page for VLC. According to Sourceforge, VLC is an audio/video player written in C that supports many different codecs.

Download the VLC source code. Examine it to understand how those developers decided to tackle the problem.

To give you some perspective, the compressed source code for VLC is 17 megabytes. What you are asking for is not a simple task.
