Question how to create /dev/svga in Suse9.1?

Hi guys,

sorry for the probably silly question, but I cannot get rid of it.

I need to create /dev/svga on my Suse9.1 , but MAKEDEV -v svca failed, and I do not know how to use mknod to do it.

Can someone help me?

Thanks!

AlmusVCU (http://www.ludd.luth.se/~torger/almusvcu.html)

I found a RPM for Fedora Core 2 which add devices in /dev/ and it adds /dev/svga too.

Anyway I do not know if installing it on my Suse9.1 ill give some problem.

Well there was no mention of /dev/svga in the 150+ page users manual. Also there is no mention in the source code or documentation that comes with the package. My only suggestion would be install the FC rpm and try it. If it doesn't work you can uninstall it, but first look at the /dev/svga device and write down the major, minor numbers and wether it is a block or character device, so you can create them using mknod.
