how to auto powerdown at shutdown

Windows turns my computer off when I shut it down. Redhat and SuSE linux do the same, however, my slackware 9.0 only prints the final line 'Power Down' and then i have to manually turn the power off. Is there a way to configure the shutdown process in slackware so that it automatically powerdowns the computer when i choose to shut it down.

Thanks.

Please do not post the same thread in more than one forum. Picking the most relevant forum and posting it once there makes it easier for other members to help you and keeps the discussion all in one place.
