Unhappy How do i format a comp ?

I want to make a full format to remove everything from my hard disk,but i don`t how. I have Windows XP and i want to remove it also and install a fresh new Fedora Core 5. Please some body help me , i can`t figure this out!

you don't need to format anythign, the fc5 installer will handle this all for you.

As acid_kewpie rightly pointed out, Fedora will format for you.

If you ever do want to thoroughly format though, I suggest DBAN as it offers many secure formatting methods.
