Default icon fro what software? Used for what? We can't read minds.

A lot of icons are in /usr/share/icons, though some are other places.

I am sorry ! I mean every software get it's own icon, say openoffice or skype . However, after intallation of such software, if I want to create an icon in the desktop or the menu, I could not find the official icon . What can I do ?

You still haven't said what software you're looking for the icon for. It can vary so that would be helpful. Though like I said there's some icons in /usr/share/icons. I forgot there's also lots /usr/share/pixmaps.

As I said before, the official icon for a specified software, say, openoffice, or Geogebra, Skype, Realplayer etc.

Most of the icons end up in /usr/share/pixmaps. That's where the OpenOffice icons are for me. I don't use any of the other's you listed, so I don't know for sure where they end up, but that's a good place to start.

Icons are usually in the installation directory of softwares you have installed.
for example, if you installed firefox and are looking for the firefoc icon, its in the icon directory of the firefox installation dir.
