Angry hotmail junked my server emails !!!

Hello there,

i'm using CentOS 5 (final), & i have a domain used to send commercial emails to a lot of emails in hotmail & other companies,,

his daily messages about 200,000 message ,,

i told him to not sent above 500 hundred message each time, to not get junked or blocked from hotmail, as there policy doesnt allow more that 500 simultanous connections each time, & wait about 15 minutes between each time,, trying to not get junked ,,

but also the mail server IP get junked, so i changed the mail server IP ,,

my question now is there any guides or steps to follow when sending emails to hotmail ??

ps: my customer is working in a commercial field, so this means that his job depends on sending emails ,,

please could anyone help me in this problem ??? i will appreatiate any help ,cuz i dont want to loose my customers ..!!!!

may all accept my best regards,,,

If your ISP has an SMTP relay then you can use that to send mail out to the internet via, and also check out this - http://www.clickz.com/clickz/column/...-sender-id-spf

Your customer is sending 200,000 emails a day to hotmail?

Why should this not be seen as spam?

Please provide an explanation as to why this is necessary.

Internet commercials..... as in adverts.

Adverts in emails.... = Spam, solcitied or otherwise.

Seriously I can't believe anyone has a real reason for sending that many emails. And to stop hotmail blocking you? you'll need to send less....

From my perspective, business requirements of internet services can vary massively, and I am not that familiar with enough business models to pass judgement. It certainly does seem that the technical solution provided is at odds with the requirements, and the implemented solution may have been miss sold.

From a purely technical perspective however, get in touch with the ISP and ask them.
