Hotmail Firefox 2.0 can not open or type text in emails

Hello everybody I do apologize if I am beating a dead horse. I have searched this topic along with reading the posts.

This is what I have:
Opensuse 10.3(retail box version) firefox 2.0 I have accepting cookies
from each site turned on but deleted when I close firefox.

This is the problem: I cannot type new text in a new email.

This is what I have tried:
Installed Mozilla Useragent changer which is written by Chris Dedrick?

Netscape 4.8 I get Upgrade Browser Screen can not open emails

Opera 9.25 I get past the Upgrade Browser Screen but can not open emails or
type text.

MSIE 7 I get past the Upgrade Browser Screen but can not open new email.

Using about:config general.useragent.extra.firefox
I double clicked and entered
"Firefox"
"Opera"
"MSIE 6.0"
"Googlebot 2.1"
"Windows NT 6.0"
I would get the Upgrade Browser Screen and Not able to open/type
text in new emails.

Whenever I made a change I would close and reopen firefox to access hotmail.

I really do not know what to try and I am getting very desperate!!
Any help would be appreciated.

Thank You
Sam

I used the useragent add on for iceweasel on debian and it works fine. The proper text was something like Firefox/2.0.11 or something like that. I'm not in front of my box right now...

But it's annoying and I'm thinking of junking Hotmail for Gmail just because of the inconvenience of having to either always browse as Firefox on windows or remembering to switch the user agent before I visit Hotmail.
