Help with WGET error please

Hello you all,

I've installed slackware 10.0 from a cd, after that, I've installed X, emacs, vim, all from the cd, haven't downloaded nothing from the internet.

Today, I turned my notebook on, installed wget from the cd, and when I try to run wget something I get an error, and this error also shows up while trying to run emacs and someother softwares, the error is:

wget: error while loading shared libraries: libssl.so.0

It was working all fine, how do I fix that ?
And what could be the reason for that ??

Please you guys, can't find nothing on google, nowhere, you guys are my only hope, tks a lot.

It is not part of the openssl package? You should try installing openssl package, I think.

Check whether you installed openSSL ...

ls /var/log/packages/*ssl*

Under many installations it just happens that the symbolic link is missing, so locate where libssl.so is. Then create the symbolic link:
Code:
ln -s libssl.so.0 libssl.so
You might need to do the same with libcrypto library.
then do: /sbin/ldconfig

Cheers.
