Help with install on *old* PC
I'm trying to put Slackware 9.0 on my old PC. Every time I boot from a boot disk, I get this error, after it loads a few things from the floppy and asks me if I want to give it extra parameters:
"Boot Failed, insert another disk and press any key to continue"
What's wrong with it? I'm using bare.i , I also tried old_cd.i
I'm making the floppy disks using RAWWRITEXP.exe on an Windows XP system. When I insert the CD, it doesn't do anything, so I know I have to use a boot disk.
Here's the specs on the PC I'm trying to install:
Processer & Motherboard: First generation 486
Hard Drive: Fujitsu 2 GB
RAM: 24 MB DRAM
Video Card: 2 MB (I think) card.
Current OS: Windows NT 4.0 service pack 6
CD-ROM: Sony, 1994.
BIOS chip: Award Software, 1993
the old PC is a homebuilt, the XP one is a Dell.
