help needed to read mail

I have set up fetchmail to get my mail and when I tell webmin to check all servers, it brings the mail down correctly and I can read the new mail from the command line mail application.

The problem is I can't read it either from:
1) squirrelmail
2) pop client

I am assuming that whatever makes the mail available to these two tools is not running or not configured.

here is my ~/.fetchmailrc:
[jordan@dot ~]$ cat ~/.fetchmailrc
poll pop.thompco.com proto pop3
user jordan@thompco.com is jordan here
password "PASSWORD"
smtphost localhost,"/var/lib/imap/socket/lmtp"
mda '/usr/bin/procmail -f fetchmail'
keep

Any suggestions would be really appreciated

Well it looks like I may have lied...
I have playing around with /var/spool/mail/jordan (trying it as a directory and as a file.) When it is a file, fetmail complains:
reading message jordan@thompco.com@mail-02.name-services.com:20 of 22 (731 octets)
#***procmail: Couldn't chdir to "/var/spool/mail/jordan"

kinda makes sense but I can at least get my mail via the command line mail reader.

when it is a directory, fetchmail doesn't complain, but I can't read my mail from even the command line reader.

What is this bit doing?:
Quote:
smtphost localhost,"/var/lib/imap/socket/lmtp"
As for the mail client, a pop client won't read from a local directory, it will only read from a pop server. What client are you using? If you are using Mozilla or something like that you need to tell it to look in /var/spool/mail/jordan for mail.

Thanks for the extra info.
