Arrow help me give all users a public www.mylinuxbox.com/~username dir in apache - plz

I know that there is a userdirectry module from searching through the posts on this site, but I think it's already activated.

All the users have a www folder in their home directory but the files in it are not publicly viewable. I changed the perms to be 777 for testing purposes.

I'd really just like all users with accounts to have a www.mylinuxbox.com/~theirusername

type set up.

You can see the results of trying it out here (unless my ip changes): http://kmg.servehttp.com/~kevin

Any help is appreciated. Thanks

You should place all your *.html files in a directory called "public_html". That's how the userdir module works.

I gave that a shot (directory was already there but I remade it) and no dice. You can still see the results above. I even made files "index.php" and "index.html" inside and still the same old error message

Can you paste your IfModule directive for mod_userdir.c? Also, who is the owner of "public_html" directory and what are the permissions? Again, please paste them here.

You can also look into your apache error_logs and see what's wrong.
