I'm attempting to install yum on my system that did not have it before. I downloaded from here:
http://linux.duke.edu/projects/yum/download.ptml
and did a make install.
When I run yum I get this:
--------------------------------------------------------------
There was a problem importing one of the Python modules
required to run yum. The error leading to this problem was:
No module named yum
Please install a package which provides this module, or
verify that the module is installed correctly.
It's possible that the above module doesn't match the
current version of Python, which is:
2.3.4 (#1, Sep 26 2006, 17:23:01)
[GCC 3.4.6 20060404 (Red Hat 3.4.6-3)]
If you cannot solve this problem yourself, please go to
the yum faq at:
http://wiki.linux.duke.edu/YumFaq
----------------------------------------------------------------
How do I install the yum module for to python. I have python 2.3.4 installed already, I've tried re-installing it, but I can't seem to get yum to work.
