Hi, i'm trying to get this hasciicam thing going, xawtv works fine , accept recording (init error)

it's an old box 166mhz, 74mb, 2G hd

lastline says
"error in ioctl VIDIOCMCAPTURE: Invalid argument"

when i start hasciicam, first it shows me that three of the four input/outputs are good , grays_scale mode, etc.. sorry that i can't give the exact print out , cant yet go online with it , working on it too

i tried with --input ntsc and the settings in xawtv , but no succes
xawtv starts with a certain setting i see in the window "topbar" then it changes to ??? but keeps on working fine can this be causing the error in hasciicam

i also notices that the analog output of the card gives a "flickering" screen ,

some other command gives me this output
hasciicam_close (id..) (....) i had to reboot it , i'll give output if necessary

xawtv was designed to work with BT878 based video capture cards. For other video cards based off of other chip brands and models, use tvtime or mplayer. Try using 2.4.x kernels instead of 2.6.x because Video4Linux has been revised, so some v4l commands that old programs used may not work anymore with 2.6.x kernels.
