Using the Zoran Driver for Video Capture

I have Mandrake Linux 9.1 and kernel 2.4.21-0.13mdk. I have installed the Zoran 0.9.4 driver for my Pinnacle/Miro DC10+ PCI video capture card and I am trying to capture video from an analog Sony camcorder using Linux Video Studio, the front end to the mjpegtools.

I get no errors (anymore) but no video is captured - i.e. the captured video file is black all the way through.

lspci says:

01:00.1 Display controller: ATI Technologies Inc Radeon R250 [Radeon 9000] (Secondary) (rev 01)

So it looks like it's detected. Can anyone help please?

No - just a moment - I have managed to view the captured video using Xine (though I don't know why I can't see it within Linux Video Studio). But there's no audio.

I have the audio plugs connected to the line-in port with the 16 bit, 22050 bit rate and mmap() options enabled.

And I now get the error:

Lavrec failed with the following error: [lavrec]
Error initializing Audio: Timeout waiting for Audio initialization.

Hi. I use SuSE 8.2 and zoran driver in bundle with it, and a Pinnacle DC10+ ; anyway I think this post here is quite general. While I don't use Linux Video Studio, I do use lavrec to record videos...
Well, I had some mute audio problems but I noticed that sometimes I forgot to set properly the audio/mixer option on command line, sometimes I forgot to record by root (to be sure I had all privileges), finally I forgot to be sure that the audio device was not busy by an other process. Beside these cases, I didn't have anymore such problems...
