harddrake2 error problem mcc mandrake 10.1 mouse microsoft

I have mandrake 10.1 running like a ford.
my subject covers all the areas listed about so I'm not keyword spamming.
I have a few problems with my mandrake 10.1. It won't boot cos of 3 problems.
1. bluetooth module hangs cos I enabled blutooth even though I don't have the dongle plugged, 2. alsa hangs, 3. haddrake2 hangs.
all these modules hang indefinitely, which seems to be an error in the distro itself because these issues would have surfaced during testing and should have been resolved by maybe quiting after a certain # of seconds or by some other means. I had to dissable this modules during startup but then when I try to run MCC the system hangs because Mcc requires harddrake2. Even a kill 9 could not kill the process.
My microsoft usb intellimouse does not work either which i'm sure is related to harddrake2. 5 years ago, these errors would have been accepted but then its 2005 and I really don't think we should settle for less.

me too

Hey, i just installed 10.1 official (i had been running 10.0 smoothly), and i have exactly the same problem... it snags on the bluetooth, alsa, and harddrake. I have a USB microsoft intellimouse also, and i believe harddrake is preventing it from working. I have no idea what to do. help is appreciated.

Ed.
