What is the difference between xine and gxine?
i installed both of them. gxine worked but xine failed.
Every time i try to play a vcd/CD, xine will shutdown my X server.
The error message was like this:
X Server shutdown
gnome-panel ,lost its connection to the display
magicdev, lost its connection to the display
nautilus, lost its connection to the display
eggcups, lost its connection to the display
pam-panel-icon, lost its connection to the display
rhn-applet: Fatal IO errro 2 (connection reset by peer) on X Server
Xinit: connection to X Server lost
X connection to 0:0 broken
acid_kewpie is right. I would also recomend this player for DivX... It's very stable, fast and I've never had problems with it yet (^_^). It's called avifile:
