Gwenview plugins greyed out, even though plugins installed. How fixy fixy?

Good morning all,

I have a GwenView, eh... 2.3.4 installed in SL6.

I have also installed the kipi-plugins packages.

Still, I have no effects listed. I just have greyed out text that says "No Plugins."

Any ideas as to what is going on or how to diagnose?

i will have to boot into sl6.1 64 but what repos do you have installed "rpmforge-extras" is incompatible with the sl repo
