GRUB: Boot without XFree86, how can I do?

this first for clarification!

I have FC1 installed with two kernels, which actually GRUB correctly detect and ask which one to load.

Now what I would like to do is to add a third option where one of these two kernels is loaded without graphic support, can someone help me?

Thanks!

Don't know if this will work with FC1, but in SuSE it's sufficient to add a 3 to the kernel parameters in /boot/grub/menu.lst (boots to runlevel 3)

this is an example grub.conf part from a Suse installation:

Code:
###Don't change this comment - YaST2 identifier: Original name: failsafe###
title Failsafe
kernel (hd0,0)/vmlinuz root=/dev/hde6 showopts ide=nodma apm=off
acpi=off vga=normal noresume iommu=noforce maxcpus=0  3
initrd (hd0,0)/initrd
do you mean it is enough to add the number 3 displayed above?

Anyone with a FC1 installation?

At least it's enough to type the 3 on the grub menu, but I have never tried to include it into menu.lst. Maybe it must read init=3, but I think 3 will do.
