GPL and Opensource licensing


Hi
Whats difference between GPL and open source licensing ?
Can anyone shed a light on this in detail ?

Open source licensing is a general term covering many different software licenses that specify source code must be open. GPL is one of those licenses.

I mean the main difference between the GNU-GPL license and Other open source licenses.
