Good NES, SNES etc emulators for Linux?

I've done my googling already, and as always it's not a problem to find software but to select from pool of alternatives! For C64 roms I use VICE ofcourse, I'm familiar with that already.
But now for others! I'd like to know what emulators you use and recommend for NES, SNES, Master System, Megadrive, GameBoy/GBA etc..

Don't worry about it Grife. I think if that thread ever would appear on google would be many links bellow and with very specific search words .

Anyway, that is a very old thread. Somethings I said has changed, but I think it is still useful. I just love emulators . Read more specifically my reply in that thread (post #2).

If you need help figuring out any emulator for any platform let me know. Playing old games is one of my hobbies ^^

Regards!

Megaman or anybody else.

I am looking for an atari joystick (c-64) to usb adapter. There used to be the stelladapter but atariage does not seem to stock it any more. Anybody have a source for these? I am trying not to hardware hack it and I have a good selection of joysticks I would like to use.

Thanks
Lazlow

Hi there lazlow!

I've been searching after the StellaAdaptor for you and came up with a lot of dead-ends. Not even eBay had one and when you can't find things at eBay, well... you know . I created an account at AtariAge forums and found something that might interest you:

http://www.atariage.com/forums/index...l=Stelladaptor

Apparently they will be getting more of those soon enough. I even wanted to have one myself now . But finding working Atari 2600 joysticks are not an easy task where I live (Northern Europe) and I simply avoid shipments overseas

Anyway, good luck

Regards!

MegaMan

Thanks for looking. Unfortunately he told me the same thing before Xmas, still have not heard a word. It may have just gotten lost in the mix somewhere.

Shipping bites bad enough within a country. I have only ordered out of the country a couple of times (rare and unpopular items)and it was a PITA. I did get 2 wico joysticks for $10 including shipping. They are just like brand new. I hate having to hook up the c-64 just to get my jumpman fix. The PC version just does not cut it. It runs fine in Vice but I need my wico.

If you hear anything I will stay subscribed to this thread. If I find anything I will post back.

Thanks
Lazlow
