GNU Cash on Slackware 10.0

Hi,
I am trying to download a money management program for Slackware 10.0. I was thinking of downloading GNU Cash but I did a google search and apparently it doesn't work on Slackware? Anyone know why this is? Does it work on Slackware? Also does anyone know of any alternatives to GNU Cash?
Gracias

Check with other programs first like kmymoney, moneydance and debtminder(the latter two being proprietary).

GNUCash I think is the better program, but its not the easiest to install ( actually its somewhat of a pain) unless you can find some of the dependencies from linuxpackages.net

also check www.linux.org-->applications too it has alot of links to software also.
