My gnomeConf.sh is in /usr/lib
I suggest running "locate gnomeConf.sh" to make sure you have the file, and to confirm it's location. If it is in /usr/lib then i suggest running "./configure --with-gnome-libs=/usr/lib"
This is from the configure file:
Code:
if test x$exec_prefix = xNONE; then
if test x$prefix = xNONE; then
gnome_prefix=$ac_default_prefix/lib
else
gnome_prefix=$prefix/lib
fi
else
gnome_prefix=`eval echo \`echo $libdir\``
fi
if test "$no_gnome_config" = "yes"; then
echo $ac_n "checking for gnomeConf.sh file in $gnome_prefix""... $ac_c" 1>&6
echo "configure:13230: checking for gnomeConf.sh file in $gnome_prefix" >&5
if test -f $gnome_prefix/gnomeConf.sh; then
echo "$ac_t""found" 1>&6
echo "loading gnome configuration from" \
"$gnome_prefix/gnomeConf.sh"
. $gnome_prefix/gnomeConf.sh
else
echo "$ac_t""not found" 1>&6
if test xfail = xfail; then
{ echo "configure: error: Could not find the gnomeConf.sh file that is generated by gnome-libs install" 1>&2; exit 1; }
So you see, running the defaults makes the prefix /usr/local/ and this doesn't appear to be where your gnome installation is.
Is there a reason you cannot use a prebuilt package for gnucash?
