Unhappy GnomeMeeting does not accept incoming calls

Hi,
im using gnomemeetin 1.0 with vectorlinux 4.0 running kernel 2.6.3.I'm trying to talk to friends running netmeeting. Everytime I ask them to call me, I get the incoming ring. But clicking on the accept button does not accept the call, and eventually the incoming call times out. I tried this with multiple persons, so I believe the problem lies at my end. I have disabled my personal (iptables) firewall, so all ports are open. I tried to view the debugging outputs, and this is what I get when netmeeting starts:

Code:
jabba@weirdo:~$ gnomemeeting -d=1
2004/04/03 03:51:08.296 0:02.267 gnomemeeting Set TCP port ran ge to 3000030010

For the incoming call, I get this message:
Code:
2004/04/03 03:53:35.854 2:29.805 H225 Caller:8368b30 H323TCP Could no t connect to 219.xxx.xxx.xxx:1720 (local port=30000) - Connection timed out(110)

Oh and I can't make any outgoing calls either. The users at the other end don't even see my call! And I'm calling to a netmeeting user.

Any ideas what I might be doing wrong? I am new to gnomemeeting, and haven't tried it with another gnomemeeting client yet (since most of my friends still use M$ $hitmeeting . ).

Thanks in advanced.

J.

I have the same problem, it seems (to me) to work only between the same version on the same OS.
Otherwise I experienced some strange behavior like I (lin) can hear him (win), but he me not.
(That's the last raison for a win at home)
