My sendmail won´t accept incoming mail

When sending mail to a list in my sendmail server I recieve the following error:
test1@listserv.sjv.se (550 5.7.1 <test1@listserv.sjv.se>... Relaying denied)

I am new to sendmail so I´m not sure how to configure it. Perhaps there is a problem that my sendmail won´t accept mail to the domain listserv.sjv.se. I can connect to the server using telnet over port 25 so it seems that it accepts connections over that port.

How do I correct this problem?

I´m using Novell OES Linux.

Check for a line similar to this in your /etc/mail/sendmail.mc file

DAEMON_OPTIONS(`Port=smtp,Addr=127.0.0.1, Name=MTA')

If there isn't a "dnl" in front of it then that's your problem. This line tells sendmail to only accept mail from 127.0.0.1 To change this, modify the line to:

DAEMON_OPTIONS(`Port=smtp, Name=MTA')

then re-create your sendmail.cf file and restart sendmail.

Also make sure you add network info to /etc/mail/access then do a

"make access.db"

Your access file should look something similar to:

127.0.0.1 RELAY
192.168.0 RELAY

The second line being your local network.

Thank you for your help. They were all helpful in my search of the error.

It turned out that my sendmail was correctly configured. It was my hosts-file that wasn´t correctly configured. As soon as I corrected that the sendmail worked correctly.
