Gnome - strange key press problem

Hello,

I use FC3 and Gnome for a couple of weeks. I ran into a very strange problem. I can't type "s".
I can type "S" but not "s".

I can type "s" in kde, i also can type it in gnome in the command line from the panel. But I cann't type the "s" in any other application: Gedit, Firefox, Krusader. Altough Alt + s works.

Has anything to do with Freetype, or the ms fonts i installed ? Cause it worked fine until now. I don't know what event caused this to happen.
Tried to restart, .... same problem.

Can anybody help ? Thanks.

ps: I'm writing this from windows
