GIMP and HP7660...
Hey all.
Today I was trying to print an image in GIMP, unsuccessfully.
The problem isn't the driver, or CUPS, or anything like that, it's GIMP. I can print a test page just fine, even at 1200dpi in full color. All other applications print fine.
As far as I can tell, GIMP just doesn't know that an HP7660 exists. It's not listed in the printer setup dialog. I can print with the Photosmart P1100 drivers, but those seem to be limited to 600dpi.
I'm using the latest hpijs driver, and GIMP 2.3.1. I'm also using the latest ppd file.
What happens when I try to print is that it first trys to print in the lower tray (not the photo tray), even if I select the upper tray. Then when I press "OK" on the printer after it gives me the error I get one line of text printed out.
The line of text says:
[code]
%!PS-Adobe-3.0
&&Creator: Print plug-in V4.2 for GIMP/Gimp-Print 4.2.6 (11 Jan 20
It probably says more but it gets cut off.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Dan O.
