I've been walking around some library called JACE (jace.sf.net) but i cannot understand how you compile the library. In the sf forum there are some people that use it on redhat and such, but they haven't been much responsive.
No, but, if it's a library, you need to build the library file from the source code. If you don't want to be bothered to learn all the compiler options, you could try one of the IDEs available, and select the "library" option for the code.
If you'd rather learn the comand line options, look at info gcc.
Look at the source code you downloaded: there should be several examples of how the library is used included with it.
Please do not post the same thread in more than one forum. Picking the most relevant forum and posting it once there makes it easier for other members to help you and keeps the discussion all in one place.
If you decide you want a post moved use the "report this post to a moderator" link and ask for it to be moved. I am marking the identical thread in programming for closure.
