While installing pkgconfig on my Fedora Core2. It shows the following error with gcc and with Cygwin and mingW32. Help me. Need an urgent help.

[root@localhost pkgconfig]# ./configure

Cygwin and mingW32 are applications you would use if you were trying to compile a unix application on Windows. If you're running Fedora core, you shouldn't have them as they don't run on Linux. Your error message above seems quite straightforward. C compiler cannot creat e executables - install gcc of your fedora CD's
