GAIM & ICQ Protocol Probs

Hello.

I'm trying to get GAIM going to replace ICQ. Which is kind of working. I can send and recieve messages, some times. But then all of a sudden I will stop recieving messages. And I don't think that my contacts are recieving mine. It will then start working again.

I've also noticed that it doesn't show any of my 'buddies' as online, even when I am chatting to them.

Has anyone seen this problem?

Thanks alot.
