FrontPage for linux?


i know that HTML Gurus might not like this subject. but for people how want to build simple website without learning HTML programing it would be nice if there is an equivalent to FrontPage in Linux. i found once a software that can do a similar job but i couldn't recall where i got it from. any sugestions?

I personally prefer Nvu. It generates simple but compatible code.

There's also quanta plus which uses the KDE libraries.

Quanta is not a WYSIWG like Front Page...

Look also at things like Seamonkey. And also Dreamweaver running with CrossOver Office.

For what it is worth, I have read more than once that Front Page is among the worst of the WYSIWG editors.

i've been playing with NVU for the last two days. it seems to be what i orignally asked for ... thanks for the help and i will post a link for my website when it's done :-)

Amaya and TruStudio are other WYSIWYG options.

i actually used staroffice (or openoffice) for simple web pages.

I find that OOo does a good job for what you are asking of it.

Nvu is nice, but it has too many bugs for my taste.
