Question frequency?

Hello, i am
I have a problem with starting linux (suse). after the starting screen, my display (tft, Hyundai, l72s) shows a msg: "Frequency too high". I tried with save starting mode -> didn't work then i tried with a command i saw on this page: VGA=791 -> didn't work... then i tried with the other described commands in the menu ("splash" and something with n and the third... don't know). Then i read 5 books -> no answer. Now i ask the "pros" for help... i am sure u know...

Have you tried configuring X on the command line? You can issue the command /usrX11R6/bin/xorgconfig to do it. I am not sure why your are getting the frequency out of range error for an LCD monitor, because it does not refresh.

I would say try it using the command line. Use option number 8 for the monitor and pick the nVidia (generic) driver for your AGP card. I think this is what I use for my laptop. It also works when I plug it into my CTR monitor.
