Flash Player 9

I'm having a bit of trouble with Flash player 9, I've had it installed for about 3 months with no problems but for some reason it just stopped working. I noticed at first that the sound was lagging and found that it reverted to Flash Player 7. I've tried looking for the plugin for flash player 7 so I could delete it, but couldn't find it in any of the firefox or mozilla plugin folders. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling 9 but that doesn't work. I've looked for a flash player 7 package in my package manager but nothing is there. The only other option I see is to uninstall and reinstall firefox 2.0 and then flash player 9 and see if that works. Which I don't really want to do because I'd lose my bookmarks.
Does anyone have any ideas?

(sorry I just searched this forum for my question and not all of the other ones)
If a mod could delete this thread I would appreciate it.

You could at least export your bookmarks to a file. Even on a floppy!

I actually fixed it, but thank you anyways I had no idea I could export my bookmarks, that's actually a bit sad considering the amount of times I've formatted my computer. Your information is greatly appreciated for future formats, of which I am sure there will be many.
I actually posted the fix in the other thread I suppose I will post it here to (I assumed it would have been deleted by now)
I searched my computer for every instance of libflashplayer.so deleted them all and then went online to insure that flash player was gone then reinstalled using the directions for the plugin. It seems to work fine now.
