All settings, preferences and bookmarks are gone. I had to import the bookmarks back into firefox form .mozilla/firefox/default.cj1. I will now have to set everything up again the way I had it.
Does anyone know what could cause all the settings and bookmarks to dissapear from Firefox?
One of the teenagers was on the computer before me. I am assuming that's what he did, but I can't find a way to get back to my profile. Unless he changed the default profile.
I just found out that I can't save any settings either.
Okay, I figured out what he did. He created his own profile. The solution is easy, just in case someone else runs into this problem: open a terminal and go to the firefox directory then type "./firefox -P" and you will see the current profiles.
Thanks for your reply too
I know a lot of people who have accidently deleted their own profile...
It is a simple mistake which could lead to hours of time!
