I am using Mozilla Firefox 2.0.0.13 on Mandriva 2008.1. Earlier it was working fine. But now it displays an error message

Failed to read the configuration file. Please contact your system administrator

Solution:
Try re-installing firefox

If that doesn't help then:

How much earlier was earlier?
Did you try updating anything between when you last used firefox and now?

Ideas:
Either a change in file permissions
Or corruption of a file, maybe it paged wrong or something.

I have seen this elsewhere on the web but I have seen no people finding ways to fix it.
