firefox 2.0/2.0.3 not displaying fonts correctly ?Gtk Error?

i did recently update my mandriva 2007 install to kde 3.5.6, today i found that the fonts in firefox are super teeny, i thought it was working before though. so i uninstalled/reinstalled a few times... and when i dl'ed ff 2.0.3 and installed from console i got " (firefox-bin:10238 Gtk WARNING: ** Default font family does not exist " and a few other font related issues- google has not brought anything to me yet either.

thanks ace, but fonts are so small, ?non existant?, menus are useless. - so the gtk thing make sense... i think, it like the way the window is rendered, the webpage seems to display fine, and it's not system-wide; konqueror is fine. I want the plugin support and compatability firefox provides though. --an answer to the "why not just use konqueror then?" question.
