Fire fox and me


Hello just wanted to know why no *.pdf's will show up..
i goto a web site that i know is a "somepage.com/something.pdf"
it just says done at the bottom of the page and nothing is displayed any quick fix's

quick fix, eh?

save link as, and open with your pdf viewer

Usally a pop-up window opens asking you what to do with the file, you should choose to open it with an application like kpdf or gpdf.

Install adobe, and put it's plugin in the firefox plugin directory.

I C ok that sound good i will give it a try secesh thanks..
p.s. i have firefox and adobe install..but thanks any way....

Copy the file /usr/local/acrobat5/Browsers/intellinux/nppdf.so to the directory /usr/local/firefox/plugins.
You will need to be root.

Now your pdf files should open in the browser window.

did that and cheched to see if its was thier and it was.

Is it because my firefox is in my home dir I arked it and that is where it ended up but for some reason i can't move it to /usr/local/firefox/. do you think moving it will help and if so what would the command be in the termanal window to do it... "SU" window thanks...
