finding the kernel source

I am running Fedora core 3 and am trying to get a wireless nic to work but to but to fallow the instructions I need the source code for my kernel but when I look under /usr/scr I find no folders. Am I looking in the right place for it? If not were can I find it? If I am then where and how can I install it?

I am looking for the 2.6.9-1.667 kernel source and have looked on the kernel.org site and can't use my cds.

Thank you for your help

It will be on your install CDs. Possibly called kernel-headers or kernel-source...have a look on your fed CDs.

do a yum search kernel and see what comes up and just out of curiosity what card are you trying to install?

it'll be kernel-source. kernel-headers are completely different ( but you'll need those too).

I typed in

"yum search kernel-source"

what I got back was

"searching packages"
"setting up repo: base"
"cannot find a valid baseurl for repo: base"

then it goes back to the command prompt

I also can't use the cds right now because I borrowed them from a friend because he burned them and wanted to know if they would work and I wanted to try core 3 and he hasn't burned me a copy just yet.

I'm trying to install a card using the adm 8211 chip set
