Filtering Spam ?

I was wondering if it was possible to filter another ISP's email? My current ISP does not filter their email very well at all. I have my own mail server running spamassassin that does a very good job for filtering the spam out. I was wondering if there is some way that I can get my ISP's email filtered through my server? I tried forwarding the email but that didn't seem to work, I believe because it was from my ISP who wasn't considered spam... Any thoughts on how I can do this?

You can use fetchmail to retrieve the mail from your ISP (if your ISP makes your mail available by pop3, imap, or some such protocol) directly into your own mail server for spam filtering.

I didn't understand what you said about forwarding your mail: were you not successful in having the mail forwarded, or was the mail forwarded but just not filtered properly on your end?

I setup my ISP to forward the email to my account on my server with spamassassin. It did not reject the emails for some reason that I don't know. So in other words, it just wasn't being filtered after having it forwarded.

If fetchmail retreives the email then runs it through my rules/filters then all is well.
