Files Acessed From Hard Drive logging

I was wondering if there is a built-in tool in linux or an application which monitors file access from hard drives.

What I am trying to find out is when their is disk activity, what files are being accessed. A program that would simply log time, file and hardrive would suffice.

Thanks,

Gary

There are numerous tools which catalog all the last access times and modified times of all the files, and monitor for any changes or unauthorized access. That is a pretty common thing people want to do.
