fetchmail nameserver failure

fetchmail is giving me nameserver failure errors on some emails.
here is an example from the output:
-----------------------------------------------
fetchmail: nameserver failure while looking for `emaildomain.net' during poll of mail.abs.adelphia.net.
fetchmail: nameserver failure while looking for `emaildomain.net' during poll of mail.abs.adelphia.net.
not flushed
------------------------------------------------
the message is probably spam but it's not flushed which means i have to telnet in to the mailserver and delete it myself. i want that message treated like all others. any ideas?

thanks.
