Fedora Windows Fileshare Timeout Question

Running Fedora 14

I can mount a SMB share, on a FreeNAS box, fine. But after about 20 minutes of sitting on my desktop, the icon becomes bored and times out.

So when I click on it, it says "Unavailable"

So I have to unmount it, then remount it, to use it again.

Is this an expected behaviour?

I'd say no .. but you may be able to work around the problem by using autofs, it handles disconnects/reconnects a lot better.
